Ajay Kumar Shrivastava has been appointed Director (Engineering & R&D) at Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL)—a testament to his outstanding 37-year journey with the organization, which began as a Management Trainee (Technical).
Before stepping into this new role, Shrivastava was Executive Director at HAL’s Aircraft Research & Design Centre (ARDC), where he spearheaded several pivotal aircraft development initiatives. His leadership was instrumental in:
- Avionics upgrades for the HS-748, Do-228, Sea King, and IL-78
- Securing DGCA Type Certification for India's first indigenous civil aircraft—the Do-228 and Hindustan-228
An alumnus of HBTI Kanpur and ENAC/ENSICA, France, he also holds a master’s in aviation safety and has been honored with the FASIA Award by the French Aeronautics & Space Industry.
