Rajat Verma has taken over as the new Chief Executive Officer of DBS Bank India, bringing with him an impressive 27-year legacy in the banking sector. Prior to this role, he served as Managing Director and Country Head of Institutional Banking at DBS. Before joining in 2023, Rajat spent over two decades at HSBC , where he held senior positions including Country Head of Commercial Banking (India) and Asia Pacific Lead for Sustainable Finance.
As CEO, Rajat will spearhead DBS India’s next phase of expansion—driven by digital innovation, customer-centric growth, and a strong emphasis on sustainable finance. An alumnus of IIM Lucknow, his leadership is expected to deepen DBS’s strategic impact in one of Asia’s most dynamic banking markets.
