Smit Shukla has been appointed Chief Marketing Officer at Philips India, where he now leads the Personal Health division with full P&L ownership and a clear mandate to accelerate sustainable, profitable growth. In his journey at Philips, Smit has been a driving force behind the Gen Z marketing playbook, the rapid expansion of quick commerce, and the successful launch of premium innovations across electric grooming, beauty, and mother & child care categories.
Prior to this, Smit co-founded Cosmos by Twill and held the role of Vice President & Head of Growth Marketing at Urban Company. There, he spearheaded transformative growth initiatives, including the launch of water purifiers under the NATIVE brand, scaled the cleaning services vertical, and redefined the beauty and men’s grooming portfolios with strategic precision.
His earlier tenure at Reckitt saw him in senior brand and marketing leadership roles, where he delivered breakthrough innovations across iconic brands like Dettol, Durex, Scholl, and Strepsils—notably leading high-impact launches such as Durex Air and Durex Jeans. At GSK, he built a strong foundation in sales, innovation, and brand management, driving growth for Strepsils, Dcold, and Krack, while also representing the company at the prestigious One Young World Summit in Pittsburgh.
With over 17 years of experience spanning Philips, Urban Company, Reckitt, GSK, and entrepreneurial ventures, Smit’s career is a testament to his ability to build brands, scale businesses, and shape consumer strategy across FMCG, consumer health, personal care, and consumer tech.
