Dr. Jyoti Prakash Rath is a dynamic academic leader and thought influencer in commerce education, recognized for his ability to blend scholarly excellence with strategic leadership. With more than 15 years of experience, he has played a pivotal role in advancing academic standards, research culture, and knowledge dissemination.
His academic journey reflects a strong foundation in commerce and management. Dr. Rath holds a PhD from Utkal University and has earned qualifications in commerce, finance, and business management, equipping him with a multidisciplinary perspective essential for modern education leadership.
Currently, he serves as Lecturer (State Scale) in Commerce at Buxi Jagabandhu Bidyadhar Autonomous College, Bhubaneswar. In this role, he actively contributes to curriculum enrichment, student mentorship, and institutional growth, aligning academic practices with evolving industry and policy needs.
Dr. Rath is widely regarded for his extraordinary contribution to academic publishing. He has authored over 100 books, edited numerous scholarly volumes, and contributed chapters to leading national and international publications. His research work appears in high-impact journals, reinforcing his position as a global voice in commerce scholarship.
In recognition of his exceptional productivity and influence, Dr. Rath was honored in 2024 by the India Book of Records and the London Book of World Records for authoring the maximum number of textbooks in commerce.
Beyond authorship, he has held strategic leadership and administrative roles, including serving as Principal of a Government Higher Secondary School and as OIC (Academics) in the Directorate of Higher Secondary Education, Odisha. Dr. Rath is a Life Member of the Odisha Commerce Association and the Indian Accounting Association and holds several prestigious fellowships, including SAS Fellow and Fellow Member titles from Eudoxia Research University, Eudoxia Research Centre, and the World Leadership Academy.
