Prof. (Dr.) Mirza Shahab Shah is a distinguished academician, administrator, researcher, and social leader whose career spans over three decades of dedicated service to higher education, research advancement, and community development. With a strong academic foundation M.Com., B.Ed., Ph.D., D.P.A., and D.I.R.P.M. he has made enduring contributions to commerce education and institutional leadership in Uttar Pradesh and beyond.
As an accomplished Research Supervisor at Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia Avadh University, Ayodhya and Singhania University, Jaipur, he has successfully guided 14 Ph.D. scholars, with four researchers currently pursuing doctoral work under his supervision. His scholarly output includes 35 research papers published in reputed national and international journals, reflecting his deep engagement with accounting, commerce, management, and economic studies. He has actively contributed to academic discourse by presenting papers at more than 60 national and international conferences and seminars.
Dr. Shah’s leadership is widely recognized in professional bodies. He has served as President of the Indian Accounting Association (Avadh Chapter) and holds executive memberships in the Indian Accounting Association and the Indian Commerce Association. He is also a Life Member of the Indian Society of Labour Economics and Secretary of the Avadh Commerce & Management Association. His editorial acumen is reflected in his role as Managing Editor of “Commerce & Business Studies”, a biannual journal focusing on economics, commerce, and management.
A sought-after academic voice, Dr. Shah has served as Chairperson, Resource Person, and Keynote Speaker at numerous national and international academic platforms, addressing themes ranging from higher education reforms and entrepreneurship to artificial intelligence, sustainability, and global development. His recent engagements include keynote and chairperson roles at prestigious conferences and seminars across India and internationally.
Beyond academics, Dr. Shah has made remarkable contributions to curricular and institutional administration. His roles include NSS Program Coordinator and Program Officer, Ex-Director of Professional Education, Ex-District SVEEP Coordinator, Assistant Examination Superintendent, and Convener of Admission Committees, among others. Dr. Shah has been associated with numerous civic and humanitarian organizations, serving as Founder President/Director of several youth and service clubs, Secretary of professional and educational associations, State Member of the Indian Human Rights Organization, and Chairman of the Humanitarian Heights Foundation.
